EXERCISE

1. Practice the Huna philosophy”bless that which you want”. Drive around or buy magazines, look at beautiful homes, gorgeous cars, and read about successful businesses. Whatever you see that you like, bless it, and bless the owners or the people involved.

2. Write and send a short letter or email to someone you know of (not necessarily personally) who is highly successful in any arena, telling them how much you admire and honour them for their achievements.

Exercise

1. Get in the game. Consider a situation or project you’ve wanted to start. Whatever you’ve been waiting for, forget it. Begin now from wherever you are with whatever you’ve got. If possible, do it while working for or with someone else, first, to learn the ropes. If you’ve already learned, no more excuses. Go for it!

(A) Programme that automatically updates new RSS feeds etc for lead purposes in the day to day running of Account Management & Sales (B) Work on a Social Media project for my brothers bar or some other product or service, play around with some ideas and execute!! (C) Work pad organiser that links in with Windows etc and enables you to write notes and arrange them into their own compartments on the screen wherever they need to go (D) Therapy and Motivational sessions / group set up to help all members achieve their own goals – based in London etc! Put plan together for each (A), (C) & (D) and research whether there’s a need for either and do it!!!

2. Practice optimism. Today, whatever anyone says  is a problem or an obstacle, reframe it into an opportunity. You’ll drive negative people nuts, but, hey, what’s the difference? That’s what they are constantly doing to themselves anyway!

3. Focus on what you have, not on what you don’t have. Make a list of ten things you are grateful for in your life and read the list aloud. Then read it for the next thirty days. If you don’t appreciate what you’ve got, you won’t get any more and you don’t need any more.

  1. My beautiful Son Joshua for whom my heart sings and my whole life smiles
  2. My beautiful girlfriend, who is an amazing person
  3. My wonderful family, especially my Mum who has given me the humour I posses
  4. My love of all things psychology, philosophy, Buddhist, therapy, positive, quantum etc – it’s an amazing subject!!
  5. Music which really gets my heart going, there’s nothing like a rhythm that makes your whole being rock!!
  6. Comedy, my goodness, where would we be without comedy or music, but comedy for a positive reframe on a subject is amazing
  7. All the wonderful people around me. Everyone is very special in their own way, and you can learn something from each of them
  8. My health. No matter how much smoking I have done in the past, or unhealthy eating, I’m not in too bad a shape at all
  9. The world of possibility. You can have anything you want in life, you just need to break down the self made barriers stopping you
  10. Life in general is absolutely wonderful!!

A very interesting principle and one that resonates deeply. Due to time constraints I will update with a full rundown of the section afterwards but it’s all based around The Law of Income which states: You will be paid in direct proportion of the value you deliver according to the marketplace.

EXERCISE

Q1. Write down what you believe to be your “natural talents”. These are things you’ve always been naturally good at. Also write how and where you can use more of these gifts in your life and especially your work life

Q2. Write down or brainstorm with a group of people how you can solve problems for ten times the numberof people you can affect in your job or business now. Come up with at least three different strategies. Think “leverage”.

A1. My natural talents are; (a) getting enthused about projects and coming up with ideas for implementing and executing them, (b) planning projects, (c) getting others enthused and motivated, (d) spotting great tunes, (e) having ideas for comedy, (f) natural enthusiasm for internet marketing, (g) general ideas, I’m an ideas man and if I had a team of workers that could follow my orders I’d be a rich man. Where I can use these in life, especially my work life; (a)

No excuses, I take full responsibility and blame my lack of conviction in the direction I am going, but I am back and well on the trail – no more breaks!! I aim to update my blog at least twice a week and I am starting it with the third exercise in T Harv Eker’s book ‘Secrets of the Millionaire Mind’. is 200 page book is phenomenal and is broken down into 2 sections; Part I being about your money blueprint, which according to T Harv we all have, and Part II The Wealth Files explains 17 ways in which the rich think and gives you exercises and ways to install these into your mind. I shall also be going to his seminar in Earls Court on the 7th, 8th and 9th of May and will be reporting back on the results of that. T Harv Eker – Secrets of the Millionaire Mind - Wealth File #3 [Rich people are committed to being rich. Poor people want to be rich]

In this wealth principle T Harv says that the number one reason that most people don’t get what they want is that they don’t know what they want. Their feelings are mixed and incongruent and there’s a conflict somewhere in the subconscious which blocks the clear view at goal. Most people will say that they want to be rich, however their installed negativity, that they will have to pay in some way for their riches, get the better of them. I know mine is based on the reality of the work and dedication that goes with it, which is strange because I’ve not always been like that at all, in fact my dedication previously (when I got a job selling Procurement and Supply Chain management software for example) was inspired and focused, putting in all it took to get the plan and strategy down and in place. I had the same dedication when I first started at my current role selling PR and media outreach solutions, however feel that maybe the internal admin and service issues have finally taken their toll. I’m feeling physically tired when I try to focus now so I need to ensure I get this sorted and get my tunnel vision back so that I stop at nothing to getting what I want!!

You can look at it like this. The universe, which is another way of saying “higher power,” is akin to a big mail-order department. It is constantly delivering people, events, and things to you. You “order” what you get by sending energetic messages out to the universe based on your predominant beliefs. Again, based on the Law of Attraction, the universe will do its best to say yes and support you. But if you have mixed messages in your file, the universe can’t understand what you want.

One minute the universe hears that you want to be rich, so it begins sending you opportunities for wealth. But then it hears you say, “Rich people are greedy,” so the universe begins to support you in not having much money. But then you think, “Having a lot of money makes life so much more enjoyable,” so the poor universe, dazed and confused, restarts sending you opportunities for more money. The next day you’re in an uninspired mood so you think, “Money’s not that important.” The frustrated universe finally screams, “Make up your frickin’ mind! I’ll get you what you want, just tell me what it is!”

The number one reason most people don’t get what they want is that they don’t know what they want.

Poor people have plenty of good reasons as to why getting and actually being rich might be a problem. Consequently, they are not 100 percent certain they really want to be rich. Their message to the universe is confusing. Their message to others is confusing. And why does all of this confusion happen? Because their message to themselves is confusing.

T. Harv Eker talks about the power of intention. I know it might be hard to believe, but you always get what you want— what you subconsciously want, not what you say you want. You might emphatically deny this and respond, “That’s crazy! Why would I want to struggle?” And my question for you is exactly the same: “I don’t know. Why would you want to struggle?”. Put bluntly, if you are not achieving the wealth you say you desire, there’s a good chance it’s because, first, you subconsciously don’t really want wealth, or second, you’re not willing to do what it takes to create it. Let’s explore this further. There are actually three levels of so-called wanting.  

The first level is “I want to be rich.” That’s another way of saying, “I’ll take it if it falls in my lap.” Wanting alone is useless. Have you noticed that wanting doesn’t necessarily lead to “having”? Notice also that wanting without having leads to more wanting. Wanting becomes habitual and leads only to itself, creating a perfect circle that goes exactly nowhere. Wealth does not come from merely wanting it. How do you know this is true? With a simple reality check: billions of people want to be rich, relatively few are.

The second level of wanting is “I choose to be rich.” This entails deciding to become rich. Choosing is a much stronger energy and goes hand in hand with being responsible for creating your reality. The word decision comes from the Latin word decidere, which means “to kill off any other alternatives.” Choosing is better but not best. 

The third level of wanting is “I commit to being rich.” The definition of the word  commit  is “to devote oneself unreservedly.” This means holding absolutely nothing back; giving 100 percent of everything you’ve got to achieving wealth. It means being willing to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes. This is the warrior’s way. No excuses, no ifs, no buts, no maybes—and failure is not an option. The warrior’s way is simple: “I will be rich or I will die trying.” “I commit to being rich.” Try saying that to yourself…. What comes up for you? For some, it feels empowering. For others, it feels daunting.

If you are not fully, totally, and truly committed to creating wealth, chances are you won’t

Are you willing to work sixteen hours a day? Rich people are. Are you willing to work seven days a week and give up most of your weekends? Rich people are. Are you willing to sacrifice seeing your family, your friends, and give up your recreations and hobbies? Rich people are. Are you willing to risk all your time, energy, and start-up capital with no guarantee of returns? Rich people are.

For a time, hopefully a short time but often a long time, rich people are ready and willing to do all of the above. Are you? Maybe you’ll be lucky and you won’t have to work long or hard or sacrifice anything. You can wish for that, but I sure wouldn’t count on it. Again, rich people are committed enough to do whatever it takes. Period. It’s interesting to note, however, that once you do commit, the universe will bend over backward to support you. One of my favourite passages is by explorer W. H. Murray, who wrote the following during one of the first Himalayan expeditions:

Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings, and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.

In other words, the universe will assist you, guide you, support you, and even create miracles for you. But first, you have to commit!

EXERCISE

Write a short paragraph on exactly why creating wealth is important to me. Be specific: -

My sons life is the most important thing in the world to me and I know he has and will have a lot to give to the world so long as I can help nurture him and his future. I didn’t have anything I wanted or needed in order to make my mark on the world in the time that I would have wanted to do it. I’m not blaming anyone for my lack of success up until now apart from myself, however I can’t help feeling that if my natural enthusiasm was nurtured in some way I would be the successful artist and musician that I know I would have been. I and my son deserve a fantastic life and there arfe countries that I want ot see in their full glory and I deserve to have a stress free life in which I can explore every exciting element of my creative life and put into practice the phenomenal wealth of ideas I have. The world needs me to be rich because it knows that earth will be a much better place for it. I will help everybody that I have the desire to, and I will explore more ways in which to do that

Most people end up getting a job because of the conditioning handed down from their parents, “Get a degree and then work for a Fortune 500 company!” and this is what Andy did, thinking it would make him happy. Promotions followed more responsibility and bigger projects until he was on a multi-million dollar project and realised he was getting more and more unhappy. So he left and began to discover, after 3 failed businesses in which he was nearly bankrupt and owed $100,000′s, that there are 3 basic components to make tremendous breakthroughs in business: -

1. Mindset

Positive thinking and affirmations don’t work alone if there are underlying unresolved issues to clear out and overcome first. Until that time you are in ‘default mode’ and any amount of pressure is going to send you over so it’s all about what you focus on, because what you pay attention to magnifies and expands, it’s the Law of Attraction. Therefore thinking about bills and lack will bring more of it and so to get over this you must take full responsibility. Cause is greater than effect and if you take full responsibility you are in control of everything, if you take the effect side you are playing the victim and this is followed by more lack and bitterness. Being the victim puts others in control. So take back the control in your life and look to see how you can improve on everything, never complain; you are always in control, don’t like paying taxes? Why not? The more taxes you pay the more you’ve earned! LOVE paying taxes! Change the way you see things, you are in complete control!! Don’t moan, do something about it, and for the things you can’t control, take responsibility for the way you look at it!!!

Was relaying the story the other day of how I first became interested in the realm of beliefs and the profound effect they have on each individuals reality, but the story itself is all about pure synchronicity and the way this enables you to have a pure unshakeable belief, so this is what happened: -

January 1997, I’ve been reading a book called The Magic of Thinking Big, by David Schwartz and crazy positive things have been happening in my life, my attitude has changed, I’m believing in the power of positive thinking and life is going great, but I suddenly start getting depressed about £3,000 that I owe on my credit card. One Saturday morning at work as a Telemarketing Manager, I explain my distress to a new employee I’d just hired a couple of weeks before, who coincidentally worked with my Sister in Lanzarotte selling time share the previous year. So she requests we go for a drink after work to talk about it, during which she tells me to book a ticket to go out and meet my Sister and do what she’s doing; “she’s earning a bucket of cash out there, probably even as much as £3,000 a week” she says “take a month off, go and make your money, come back and you’re out of debt”. Brilliant! I now know exactly what I’m going to do and am confident that my money troubles are over, so I buy the next round of drinks to celebrate. “I’m going to win the lottery today!” she proclaims as I sit back down having got back from the bar “what makes you say that?” I ask curiously knowing she isn’t joking. “A psychic told me I was going to win a year ago, but when it didn’t happen she told me she’d got the year wrong and the day I was due to actually win was in exactly a years time, which is today”, “really?” I ask “it’s weird that they can be so specific but yet get it so wrong” I continue “but I guess if you’re gonna win, you’re gonna win and that’s the main thing” and we pretty much left it at that drinking our drinks and leaving. I called my girlfriend, who was in Oslo for a couple of weeks to tell her of my plan to go to Lanzarotte and asked her if she wanted to join me, which she did and so I trondled my way back home on the underground. On my way home I stopped off at the news agents to buy a lottery ticket, well you never know, and as I’m waiting in the queue I hear someone at the front say “oh and I’ll have a scratchcard too…” and then all of a sudden a voice in my head said “that’s it!”, it was actually my voice, but I was all of a sudden overcome with an absolute complete conviction that buying a scratchcard was “the answer”! The unshakeable belief was profound, I’d never been so convinced of something in my life to the point that I became aggitated when somebody started pushing into the queue because I thought that they might inadvertantly purchase the ticket, my ticket which was “the answer” to everything. I reasoned with myself that if this was supposed to happen it would happen regardless of whether someone else had pushed in front of me. So I get to the front of the queue, hand in my slip for the lottery ticket and ask for a £50,000 scratchcard, not 2 or 3, just one scratchcard and then I leave the shop. On my way home I plan exactly what I’m going to do with all the money, who I’m going to give what, what I’m going to buy, where I’ll visit, and I’m doing this for about 15 minutes before I come to the realisation that this is probably completely crazy and the fact that I was absolutely convinced I’d won was entirely unfounded until I actually could see with my very eyes that I have the winning ticket. So I decide there and then, in the queue at the chip shop on West Ferry Road, to start scratching off the metalic covering…first number £50,000, second number £50,000, don’t really remember what denominations the next three are but they don’t make the trio that is required and so it’s all resting on this final scratch…I can see a five, it’s followed by a zero and then, oh my god I can see a comma…it’s followed by three more zero’s, it’s FIFTY F***ING THOUSAND POUNDS! I blink and widen my eyes to get a proper look just in case my eyes really are deceiving me, nup, I was right the first time I HAVE WON FIFTY THOUSAND POUNDS!!! The first thing I do is call my girlfriend who thinks I’m joking, and who wouldn’t, it’s not the kind of thing that happens every day, but let’s face it, it’s a pretty crappy joke if you are, what’s the punchline ‘not really! But I fooled you anyway’,well no actually you didn’t and now I think you’re even sadder because the conversation has just hit an all time low, well done eedjut! So I go home and ask my flatmates to check the ticket just in case I’m just complete deluded. Their incessant jumping up and down confirm it for me, their spontaneous bolt out of the house to buy tickets themselves, just in case Tottenham might have been sporadically peppered with winning tickets confused me somewhat, but it was the confirmation I was looking for none-the-less.

So how strange is that? The fact I was reading The Magic of Thinking Big, the fact I’d just hired a girl that co-incidentally worked with my Sister, that she told me to go for a drink, that she instilled me with the confidence I needed to know I was going to be debt free, that she told me she was going to win the lottery, that I was absolutely, without a doubt convinced I was going to buy the winning ticket!! Synchronicity? Or did my unshakeable belief actually make it happen? But what instilled that absolute confidence in me???

Lavina, who I met on the EEUNI course yesterday has just emailed me with details of the BodyTalk system she is involved with and I couldn’t help noticing the complete similarities to both Psych-K and EFT, but one that seems to be a collaboration of both. I shall be taking advantage of a couple of free sessions to get the lowdown on exactly what is involved after I have taken the Psych-K course on Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th of December and will keep all the details updated on this blog.

Today I have put comments on the walls of 4 Facebook groups: – Beliefs, Goals, Make Money, Make Money Online, about how beliefs determine the outcome of your goals and to contact me if they want to be able to quickly and easily (within 10 minutes) believe anything. I’ll let you know how that goes.

In the meantime I am going to be putting together my own MindMovie over the next few days which I will provide a link for once this has been completed. However there is a long and arduous process to go through before I get there, one of which is the completion of a questionaire that comprises of a detailed explanation of exactly what it is I want separated by 9 key areas. The format of this blog is changing. From now on I’ll be updating this section like a daily diary, logging my thoughts and learnings from the days activities of adding to the pages on the right, tweets, Facebook group updates and anything else that comes my way. I’ll refer to the sections that I’ve been updating that day and link to anything else that adds to the content.

So today I attended a free business starting course run by Toby McCartney and Craig Goldblatt of Enlightened Entrepreneurs University http://www.eeuni.com/. Toby also runs, amongst other things, an NLP practitioners training course and Craig is a phenomenally inspiring speaker that has that rare talent of making you feel that he is talking directly and only to you. The content was very useful, the social media side of it I knew from working in media anyway, but the mastermind suggestion made by Craig was very motivating. He said that as he was starting up he attended a course similar to this and from the room of 50 or so people he picked out 2 that he identified with and they arranged monthly get togethers for 3 hours where they would go through 10 goals that they wanted to achieve for that month and pitch what they had achieved the previous month. They had 40 minutes to talk and then would get 20 minutes feedback from the others and he said he would learn so much because they would be completely honest with him and shoot him down every now and again, but that 75% was all positive. He would get pointers from their feedback, but would also learn new ideas from their 40 minute pitches too and the whole experience made them wholly accountable for their actions because they’d have to report back with an update on their monthly goals. Craigs passion and honesty really came across and the funny thing was that he looked almost exactly like someone I used to live with (Ben in Streatham), he’d just spent the night living on the streets for charity a friend of his runs in which he houses 40 homeless people and helps get them back into society, and this was an idea I was playing with literally yesterday, and I felt he was directing everything at me, so strangely I felt drawn in a real synchronous way.

I also met 2 people in particular who could help me with my chosen vocation, Punam Sharma (an investment banker who does Reiki and is starting to run a masterclass herself) and Lavina (who overheard my conversation with Punam about Psych-K and wanted to learn more because her product also aligns the left with the right brain hemisphere’s and assists in healing processes). I was drawn to Punam because she looked like Vicky Charalambous from school and spoke with a nice energy, and of course I find out she is doing Reiki, which was something I was looking into earlier in the week and then Lavina’s unique product being somewhat similar to the Psych-K system, which I’d only found out about recently and separately after reading about the pro’s and con’s of each hemisphere in a book somewhere. I had a thought during my conversation with Punam that these synchronicities seem to happen when you are progressing and following your path. The story just seems to unfold on it’s own and the questions get answered along the way but only when you are taking positive steps toward your goal.

The rest of the course was interesting and Toby was talking about targeting your products or services at niche’s (or Micro Niche-ing as he called it), so if your chosen line of work is Life Coaching for example, the competition for that is huge producing 490,000 results in Google, whereas if you niched down to Life Coaching for Women the results and therefore competition dwindled down to 71,400 and the person searching for that service would feel it’s tailored specifically for them and is therefore much more likely to buy your product. Really chunking down to Life Coaching for Women Golfers would take the search down even further to 2,200 results. This got me thinking about who I should be aiming my services at and how I should be marketing it, initially thinking depressed people, those with anxiety issues etc but realised I am limiting myself so should go for Sales People and Corporates to help them believe in themselves and their abilities. Also should I sell my blog, or literally just the Psych-K courses themselves, in fact can I do the latter? Am I able to take an EFT course? etc etc, but I guess I need to see how this all pans out first before really selling anything but in the meantime work on this blog and a few video ideas I have, with case studies, history of my reason for getting into this line of work, strange choreographed funky dancing and the likes.

So, how do you find your niche?

  1. Identify a group of people you enjoy working with
  2. Does this group have numbers?
  3. Does this group need what you can provide?
  4. Will they perceive value in you?
  5. Are these people buyers?

How to sell your products or services: -

  1. Find your niche
  2. Test your niche
  3. Find and join social media groups
  4. Create a survey (Survey Monkey)
  5. Analyse the results
  6. Create your product name and caption (describe exactly what you do as quickly as possible)
  7. Produce online products/video/teleseminar
  8. Offer the high value for free first
  9. Provide them your product

Craig’s chat was full of all manner of gems like: -

Who we spend our life with is who we become, so we need to raise our standards. Find people who are already really good at what it is you want to do and hang around them. This reminds me of the talk conducted by Lisa Jiminez in which she says that your actions become what you talk about and if you are hanging around those that talk your language, or the language you want to talk then you naturally pick that up and your actions become that of what you say.

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. Psych-K - The Biology of Belief

Tonight I attended a seminar organised by Harun Rubani of Nu Rah Consciousness Events and the Human 2.0 blog(http://humantwopointzero.wordpress.com/) after being invited by Yanni. Mary Trenfield is a leading European trainer for Psych-K, an organisation set up as the result of a collaboration by Dr. Bruce Lipton, who wrote the book The Biology of Belief (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLZ7GqWpEqM&feature=related) and Rob Williams the author of The Missing Piece Peace in Your Life. Their meeting was pure synchronicity at work, both talking at the same event and realised that their theories both combined together and this I’ll go into a bit later on.

So Mary’s talk involved a mixture of general Biological Psychology, NLP and philosophical quotes like the following from Mahatma Ghandi: -

Your Beliefs become your Thoughts
Your Thoughts become your Words
Your Words become your Actions
Your Actions become your Habits
Your Habits become your Values 
Your Values become your Destiny

To Know and Not to Do is to Not Know (Confuscious)

All very good stuff. The interesting thing about the Psych-K process is that it combines pretty much everything that I had been studying or reading about over the last few weeks about the conscious and subconscious mind, the left and right hemisphere of the brain and people that operate in each, and the fact that your beliefs determine your behaviour, values and therefore your reality and future. My whole search therefore, about how you create an unshakeable belief was being answered in this one presentation which seemed amazing, if not a little unbelievable , ironically, but I’ll come onto this later on.

So our beliefs are created in the most part during our childhood up until the age of 6 (the gestation period), by our parents, teachers and peers, from direct teachings, comments and our experiences as a whole and this continues through life via the same sources and the media. The effects these beliefs have on your biological and behavioural realities are astounding and carry on until you no longer have them, just look at the previous history of Harrison Klein. Negative beliefs like ‘not being good enough’, ‘I’m always the first to catch a bug’ and/or ‘we can’t afford it’ and postive beliefs like ‘I can do anything I put my mind to’, ‘I am completely loved and feel secure’, ‘I’m always really luck’ shape our destinies. Your beliefs are filters for reality, you see the world not as it is, but as you are. Mary gave the example of a ticking clock by asking people to put their hands up if they found the sound of a ticking clock soothing, to which a few put their hands up, and then asking those who found it annoying to put their hands up, again a few people put their hands up. Why did it relax some and annoy others? Was it determined by whether their grandparents were nice people or not? Such a simple example but effective in the explanation of not only how beliefs effect you, but also that it mostly probably doesn’t really matter what the reasons for the beliefs are based on, the fact is you are still affected by something for a reason that you are consciously not aware of. Beliefs create perceptions that affect your self esteem, relationships, prosperity, job satisfaction and everything in your life, if you are stressed about something in particular it can have a negative effect on your whole being. The Corpus Callosum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corpus_callosum) transmits signals of electrical impulses between the left and right hemispheres of the brain and when you feel stress it’s functionality, and therefore effectivenss of communicating information, is reduced by 75%. You can take a brain test to determine which half of your brain is the more dominant here: – http://www.web-us.com/BRAIN/braindominance.htm. In stressful circumstances the brain resorts back to it’s more dominant functionality
